2001 India-Aus. 2003/04 India-Aus. 2008/09 Aus-SA Ashes is good but has become overhyped in recent times.

The stadium was 95% empty. And this is last day of the most hyped series ever, with aussies in with great chance of winning match(pitch was a disgrace so that scuperred any result chance), yet no one was interested. Definitley would have been many more fans in India, if India reached day 5 in such a scenario. Shocking lack of interest by aussie fans.

the attendance for the 1st test was: Day 1: 35,389 Day 2: 34,045 Day 3: 34,615 Day 4: 21,677 this is till day 4 and the total for the 5 days was about 137000 so the 5th day's attendance should be about 13000-14000 For the very, very hyped Ashes series, 137000 over 5 days is NOT a good figure IMO. Yea, the SL series is not important, so no complaints there. As for the Ashes, the GABBA has a capacity of 42, 000 people. The attendances for the first three days were quite good, considering they were over working days:

Day 4 was not a working day? What went wrong there then, as the attendance was less then the so called working days? Can we use the same excuse in India when attendance is not up to scratch? That it was a working day!:cantstop:
