The Outsider Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Full marks for the effort, but without accounting for the huge Indian population living in other countries, it is quite meaningless. For example, of the 20 million DSL subscribers in the US, if 1 million are Indian (a fair assumption given that Indians make around 1-2% of the population and are significantly better off financially than all other racial groups). I personally don't know any Indian who does not have a DSL or higher subscription. That 1 million Indian subscribers in the US is already a bigger number than the total subscribers in Australia.

India figures at 19. Well below Australia at 14. So how exactly we influenced the polls against the Aussies? http://www.internetworldstats.com/dsl.htm Good, these are actual numbers. Now out of 66 million broadband subscribers in the US, at least 2 million will be Indians. Of the 14 million in UK, around 0.5 million will be Indians. Of the 7.5 million in Canada, 0.5 million will be Indians. The number comfortably towers over Australia.
