yoda Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Regarding Food (only veg comparison) Breakfast/Snacks: Idly/Dosa/Upma/Pongal/Vada pwns Samosa/Kachori/Jilebi Lunch/Dinner: Sambar/Rasam/Kootu/Aviyal/Bisibele loses to Punjabi food (Tandoori Roti, Bindi Masala/Egg plant Bartha/Palak Paneer/Malai Kofta/Dal) Sweets: Laddu/Mysore Pak/Payasam/... draws with Kheer/gulab jamun/peda/... Overall food wise I say Punjabi beats rest of India hands down for lunch/dinner, southies pwn northies for breakfast/snacks with Samosa being the lone exception. :eyedance: And oh yes our Southie movies are overall cr@p when compared to Bollywood with the odd exception here and there. :((
