King
One of the rarest events in the history of cricket when Dennis Lillee used an aluminium cricket bat against England in an Ashes test match. At that point in time ICC had no rules as per what material should be used to make a bat and there was nothing wrong in using Aluminium bat. The sound the bat made when the ball hit the bat is just hilirious. It feels like someone has been knocking a piece of iron in a workshop :hic: Dennis Lillee's comment was that the wooden bats are way too fragile and expensive. The aluminium bats lasts longer than the wooden bats and also is cheaper to buy. Unfortunately none took into consideration the damage an aluminium bat could have done to the ball. Dennis Lillee was the official model for the aluminium bat but the truck loads of aluminium bats never really took off commercially. Wait for the video to load, it will start on its own.
