Sachin's centuries and India's defeats.

You may very well post the IQ' date='CAT scores & MSFT certificates of all of them. Would be a good case to study.[/quote'] would be a good case study. And it would be interesting to analyze, which one of two is more bizzare? a) Sachin's centuries not helping India to win b) High CAT score and MSFT certifications not helping somebody to think logically?

Not that big a point. As we have seen, win %age when sachin plays and when he doesn't play is almost the same. Ideally when the best batsman in the world scores a ton, the team should win more than 55%, because the team is not that incapable.
A bowling lineup which cannot defend 333 is not incapable for you? Why should India win more than 55% when we are playing the likes of Australia and SA? To win against these teams you need to be good in all disciplines including bowking. So while having a huge score is enough against the likes of NZ, WI, its clearly only job half done against teams like Aus and SA who have very good batting too The fact that you are not able to comprehend the above logic and the fact that you are using selective stats(since 2000) and not enough sample to exclude for co-incidences, external circumstances, makes me pity you

Since I have already mentioned the below thrice (and also bcoz the sample size becomes smaller), I dont think it was needed to further break down that stat :
win %age when sachin plays and when he doesn't play is almost the same.
Anyways: Vs NZ, WI, Eng, Pak, SL, India have won 64/108=59.3% (only taken matches where sachin plays): http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/35320.html?class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=start;result=1;result=2;result=3;spanmax1=31+Dec+2011;spanmin1=01+Jan+2000;spanval1=span;template=results;type=batting;view=match http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/35320.html?class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=start;result=1;spanmax1=31+Dec+2011;spanmin1=01+Jan+2000;spanval1=span;template=results;type=batting;view=match out of 12 Tons Vs NZ, WI, Eng, Pak, SL (Not counting the Ton in No-Result match), India has won 6 matches. (50%) http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/35320.html?class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=start;result=1;runsmin1=100;runsval1=runs;spanmax2=15+Mar+2011;spanmin2=01+Jan+2000;spanval2=span;template=results;type=batting;view=match http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/35320.html?class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=start;result=1;result=2;result=3;result=5;runsmin1=100;runsval1=runs;spanmax1=15+Mar+2011;spanmin1=01+Jan+2000;spanval1=span;template=results;type=batting;view=match

Look at the highlighted part. An improvement in winning % from 57% to 67% because of Sachin's centuries.

 Is it too early to say that I have seen enough?

Nice attempt Raghav - but even this is not going to cross right->left brain barrier of certain instances of Homo Sapiens.

Vaibhav' date=' I find it quite amazing you work at Microsoft yet you can't grasp simple logic and reasoning[/quote'] Just so you know, not everyone at MS or any company is a genius, in fact, only handful of them are, most are pretty good and the rest, including this idiot, are pretty ordinary to outright fools.

No hope either.. Anyways now Vaibhav_Delhi is trying to analyze Sachin's contribution to Indian team based on grand total of 9 innings where he has total 48 centuries and more than 450 ODI's. looking at the trend soon he will have a sample size of 0 and would claim that Sachin never scored an useful century as none of these 0 centuries would have resulted in win..:winky:
