THX_1138 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 the 1996 world cup generated some $200 million in revenues, $95 of whom came through broadcasting rights. inflation adjusted that would be in the vicinity of $450 million or more today. so i guess that is the benchmark. commercially the 1999 and the 2007 editions were the least lucrative since the 1992 edition.

Debutant Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 This world cup is the best simply because all the top teams are a match to each other.This is resulting in so many competative matches.We have also witnessed many upsets.Stadiums are packed and there is huge shortage of tickets.India still there to the very last.It can't get any better.
