Your favourite moments/most embarrassing ones/heroics etc etc. Lemme start, I am a leg spinner and a slogger. I have 2 favorite moments. I)It was the finals of the inter class 10 tourney(tennis ball). Our opponents made 75 in 10 overs. We were 30 for four in 6 overs when I came to bat. I knocked off the target in the next 3 overs. I was in Yusuf Pathan mode that day. I hit 5 massive sixes. My partners contribution in that blitzkrieg was a mere 2 leg byes. After the match my PT sir gave me the tightest hug and lifted me off the ground. Awesome experience. II)The second one is dearer to me for it came in the 2005 CAB 110 points QF representing Durgapur Cricket Club. It took place in our enemy den, Salkhia Cricket Club.It was a 45 over match. we batted first and scored some 200. I bowled 9 overs that day taking 4 wickets for 13 runs. And whats more I got their best player out for a duck.They eventually scored some 150. My most embarrassing moment-Alas my joy was short lived for I sank my team in the SF against Alipurduar. I dropped their best player twice and he went on to score a 100. I bowled well but the dropped catches cost us the match. I also got out for a duck.(:((. My coach gave me the flogging of my life after the match. He rapped my knuckles hard with the bat many times before proceeding to kick me in my gut and whipping me with his belt. I became ill and had to miss the next 2 weeks of school because of my illness and depression. My grandpa flew down from Chennai and gave that coach the verbal lashing of the century. I left that club that year and played for a Calcutta club for the next year.
Sir john Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 due to my bros i get very few chance for play to my club, but whenever i get chance to play i played some good innings 1 its happen in 2003, i was a lazy fielder like munaf,i misfield many time in that match,my bro shouts on me many time,we have some heated arguments too, enemy team scored 65 runs in allotted 15 overs. due to my bro i was number eleven in that match,when my chance come my team needed 3 runs in 4 overs, i played whole three overs and take single in each last ball of over, my bro was batting on another end, for me this is heroics and revenge.

Guest Shivani Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 whenever i expressed my wish to play cricket with my bhai logz, i was asked to field in a position where the ball hardly had a chance to go :(( and rarely would they allow me to bowl, and.. batting was a dream :(( In school also the boys would ask me to just cheer for them. And then one day this notification came that a girls' cricket coaching thing will be started and interested students may give their names. I was like :woot: and joined that.. went there for a couple of months and suddenly all my bhai logz started ing me because they could never join such academy as their parents wouldn't allow :hehe: I went there for a couple of months and learnt decent bit cricketing but had to quit due to some unfortunate incident. But anywho, after that my life changed.. and my cousins and male friends started respecting me A lot of my other friends who joined with me, some took this seriously and play for the state.. and some quit due to diff reasons.. So this is my story ... :P

Zelig Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I won my school team the Inter State Championship when I was a 13 yr old 7 needed off last over. I gave away 3 runs. I took 3 wickets for 14 runs in 5 overs (25 ov per side game). I have done well for my street team in bet matches too :yoyo: I'd some wheels for my agee :agree:

punjabi_khota Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Like 3 years back, while bowling medium pace, I took a return catch that was basically a ball that bounced a bit off the bat's top edge while the batsmen played a forward defensive shot, on my follow up. The ball was dying fast, and I jumped forward and took the catch. I ended up doing a complete roll head first. Probably my proudest moment on cricket field, :proud:
