Imran says...not tigers they played like pussycats.:hysterical:. He went on to say that not allowing Pak players to participate in IPL is corrupting them. He said that Pak T20 players are some of the best in the world and that since a sports persons career has limited shelf life, if they don't get paid what they others are getting, it can cause them to look at other means. :giggle:. Seriously why would any franchise take thse sort of players? I for one would stop backing any franchise who has any Pakistani player till the time Pak gets serious in handing over 26/11 suspects. I mean how can a franchise with Paki players ever play in Mumbai against Mumbai Indians? Enough of this "cricket diplomacy" which hasn't got us anywhere. The only stuff we got in return for Vajpayee's trip to Pakistan was Kargil, and later on things like "Aman ki Asha" etc. got us attack on Indian parliament and 26/11. Now Imran tells us a place in IPL will reduce corruption in their team. So do they hate IPL or love it. One does need an over sized heart to accomodate such contradicting emotions. Pakistan does have good players who can thrive in T20 games. However, only if they refrain from making ludicrous statements like what Shahid Afridi said about "saaf sutra dil" I haven't really been following the whole politics regarding pakistani players and the IPL. IPL is about team dynamics and unity amongst ppl from different backgrounds. you cant win a championship if you have cricketers that thnk their dil is more saaf suthra than those from other countries. besides, the IPL also has a lifestyle aspect to it. the parties, the drinking, etc. paki cricketers cant fit into any of that. for them, its all begheirat and haraam. imagine having a paki player in your IPL team, the guy will sit on the sidelines, do his own thing, collect his money and wont interact with anyone because he cant stand everything around him. so whats the point? they are useless. and in terms of cricketing skills, they arent any good. didnt their T20 team lose 6 matches in a row not too long ago? There is nothing stopping Pakistan from starting their own league as there is tremendous cricket interest in their own country and paying their players crores in salaries. India is totally entitled to not be forced to be attacked by state sponsored terrorism and forced to smile at the Pakistanis and told "yes it feels good". If they dont let them in the country for cricket/music/work and so forth that is their prerogative just like it is Afridi's to say Muslims and Pakistanis got a bigger heart. I wish some of these Pakistanis who live in this fantasy world of Muslim brotherhood would live in a gulf country for 3 months to see what arab muslims think of them! They would rather buy 25 louis vuttion back scratchers than pay their Muslim Pakistani drivers/servants 10 riyals/dirhams for laboring a day in the sun!
