cricketfan2010 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 saqlain mushtaq - after Sehwag manhandled him on his way to tripple hundred. Shaun Tate - After quarter final against India Shoaib Akhtar - With generous help from Ross Taylor.. Pakistan were too scared to let Akhtar bullied again by Sehwag and Tendulkar in world cup match. Jayasuria - May be??? Wasim and Waqar - They weren't the same force after Tendulkar show in Centurian... I think both retired quietly soon after that.
Moncy Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Shaun Tait's one of the best fast bowlers. He was one of the Oz key players who led their team to another WC victory in CWC 2007. In fact, he and McGrath shared the top spot as the highest wicket taker in 2007 CWC. Have you seen his bowling performance when he's in good form? He always bowls at +150KPH!!!!! Hope he will play in IPL4. It's sad that he retired from ODI cricket recently :( Tait, Wasim and Waqar are the only good bowlers who unfortunately had to retired so early.
panther Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 wasim and waqar were pretty old in 2003 so i dont think this batting line up made thme retire
Alchemist Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 If not for unusuall collapse, Dale Steyn would have topped this list.
cricketfan2010 Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 wasim and waqar were pretty old in 2003 so i dont think this batting line up made thme retire Waqar is not that old.. He started same time as Tendulkar, he must have been 32 or so at that time. Both would have carried on for couple of more years because its not as if pakistan had ready made replacements for them. Even old Wasim and Waqar were better then show ponies like Akhtar..
cricketfan2010 Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 Javed Mindiad final match was in 1996 QF. Yes. forgot about him. :haha:. We should credit Srinath, kumble and company for that..
cricketfan2010 Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 Also Prabhakar had to be retired after onslaught from Jayasuria.. So maybe its not one way traffic.. But as far as I can see, our batsmen inflict lot more pain and have been responsible for ending careers of some good bowlers.
shoki Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Tait, Wasim and Waqar are the only good bowlers who unfortunately had to retired so early. Wasim Planed to retrie after WC 2003
