@warne888 For the record I did not have a go at Sachin personally-that's factually incorrect-I had a go at MI for lodging complaint against the pitch @warne888 Why are RR the only team to have a pitch inspector come down after we bowled MI out for 93.. Sachin said wicket no excuse - he was right ! @warne888 So certain sections of the media please stop trying to create a stir between Sachin and I - not on.. @warne888 If Sachin and I had a problem with each other we would call and sort it out - that's what friends do.. Big game for RR today v chennai...

Mumbai Indians hit back at Rajasthan Royals MUMBAI: Denying to have lodged a complaint about the quality of the pitch they played on and lost against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur, Mumbai Indians on Tuesday accused the Royals and Rajasthan Cricket Association for sensationalising the issue of captain Sachin Tendulkar's post match comments and termed it as violation of the spirit of cricket. "Mumbai Indians has not lodged any complaint to IPL on the nature of the pitch. It is disconcerting to note that Rajasthan Royals and a senior official of the Rajasthan Cricket Association are trying to sensationalise this issue," a statement from the Mumbai franchise owned by the Reliance Industries, said. Setting the record straight, MI stated that "there have been unsolicited, distasteful comments and personal remarks made, which is not in keeping with the spirit of the game". MI said that the post match comment made by Sachin Tendulkar, in reference to a specific question on the pitch was as follows: "It was a tough pitch, different to what we played on in Mumbai. Don't want to take the credit away from Rajasthan, who bowled and fielded well. "It was two-paced, the ball kept low. We lost early wickets, were not able to rotate strike. A score of 130 would have been a challenging total. We were not able to accelerate in the middle overs." Mumbai Indians' reactions emerged after Rajasthan Cricket Association's secretary Sanjay Dixit tweeted on Monday, accusing Mumbai as "sore losers" and "graceless" in defeat. "Mumbai is known on the Ranji circuit as the most graceless side. Showing off their pedigree in IPL too," Dixit had tweeted. "Venkat Sundram (pitch regulator) came three days after marking of the pitch, and rubbished Mumbai's claims. Sore losers. Did that in Ranji too," he wrote while slamming Tendulkar for criticising the pitch on which MI were restricted to 94 for 8. Shane Warne's home team overhauled the modest target with seven wickets to spare and later the Aussie spin legend too hit out at Tendulkar for his comments about the quality of the pitch after the match. 1. Where was spirit of cricket when Harbhajan cheated? 2. Where was spirit of cricket when Sachin cheated by faking the Rayudu injury?

Very childish of :mi:
What is childish? That they did not actually lodge a complaint? Or that they didnt post insulting twitter on fabricated stories?

No. That they didn't choose to let the bat and ball to the talking, much like their captain likes to operate.

Stay on the topic. Do you really find anything wrong with the Sachin's statement in post-match interview, on which all this controversy has been created? Funniest part was, the person to create all this hue and cry was no other than serial offender Mr. Shane Warne.

They cheated. Off-topic or not, doesn't change that fact. Anyone of any team doing such stuff is a cheater. And Shane Warne might not be the cleanest guy around but is it wrong to expect your opponent to be a bit gracious in defeat? Sachin is wrong. Fullstop.

No, it's not wrong to expect so and accordingly Sachin was totally gracious in defeat. Read below Sachin's statement in post-match interview - It was a tough pitch, different to what we played on in Mumbai. Don't want to take the credit away from Rajasthan, who bowled and fielded well. "It was two-paced, the ball kept low. We lost early wickets, were not able to rotate strike. A score of 130 would have been a challenging total. We were not able to accelerate in the middle overs." Don't know if you follow some different definition of grace.

MI still being gracious by not resorting to personal attacks. And how did Harbhajan cheat? Bending the law is not cheating. Faking Rayudu's injury? When did this happen?

Sorry Mr.Warne but "certain sections of the media" are not sensationalizing anything. It is your cricket associations secretory who posted personal remarks.

I'm not sure achilles knows who this guy Sanjay Dixit is! Dixit's the one who defeated achille's beloved Lalit Modi in the 2009 RCA elections.
