Sachin=GOD Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 yeah' date=' its no biggie but I am sure many indian fans wouldn't be amused [b']if a paki bowler gives tendu or dhoni a similar mouthful after getting them out.....and then, paki fans giving the reasoning that such behavior gets their bowlers pumped up to perform...hehehe let them do it. We've seen what happens when Pakis try to give Indian players a mouthful - Goddy, Viru, Dhoni, Yuvi etc destroying the Pak attack time and again in both Tests and ODIs after the Pakis make huge claims about their phaaaast bowling and try to sledge the Indian players :giggle:
achilles Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Actually that's exactly what's needed from Munaf. For far too long he was uninterested and sheepish on the field, in his bowling. It's good to see him bowl with some fire, it's exactly what he needs to do to keep up his good form. Sreesanth does the same thing. And Munaf got jacked by Amit Mishra. Strange you still feel that that's exactly whats needed from Munaf. I think he needs to stop picking up fights, concentrate on his bowling/pace or learn to back verbals with his bowling, like his "idol" McGrath.
Fontaine Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Sreesanth does the same thing. And Munaf got jacked by Amit Mishra. Strange you still feel that that's exactly whats needed from Munaf. 1. Because Sreesanth sucks. and 2. Because Sreesanth especially does it even when he's NOT getting wickets. And finally you're completely wrong in saying "Sreesanth does the same thing." Sreesanth repeatedly abuses, sledges to the point where he says personal and crude remarks for which he's been fined before. The Pakistan match was probably one of the few occasions, if not the only occasion where Munaf said something and that was after he got the wicket. So yeah, it's completely different. Any questions?
ganeshran Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I dont like to see bowlers abusing after batsmen get out.. slowly batsmen will start abusing bowlers after they hit 4s or 6s... Pretty soon, whole of the team and batsmen will get into a free-for-all abuse-athon

Pretty soon, whole of the team and batsmen will get into a free-for-all abuse-athon I agree, I don't want to see abuse either. Sledging or having a "chat" (whatever you want to call) it is ok.
ganeshran Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I agree' date=' I don't want to see abuse either. Sledging or having a "chat" (whatever you want to call) it is ok.[/quote'] Sledging is ok as long as players are able to take it and not only dish it. We have seen McGrath get pwned so many times when batsman replied with a crude remark.. He lost his temper then
Sachin=GOD Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 There's a fine line between Sledging and Abusing. Most of the players can differentiate between Sledging and Abusing but some (like Sreesnath) just do not know where to draw the line and therefore get into trouble so often.

Cricket Tragic Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 It's pretty simple. When someone who behaves likes a moron plays for your team, you view him as being aggressive and a fighter. If he plays for the opposition, you think that he is a tool. Look at Gambhir. He often behaves like a ***** and it is just embarrassing to watch. If he was playing against us, we'd have him up there with Winga, Ponting and Afretard.
Fontaine Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Dude' date=' smell the coffee.[/quote'] Good to see you can't disagree with anything I posted hence the inane, generic response.

I like to see hard, intense cricket with the occasional boil over as a result of it - absolutely riveting viewing. But some players just use it as an excuse to abuse for no reason - Virat Kohli even starts mouthing off when he takes a catch, sometimes!
Serani Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Gambhir looks like a lil brat when he starts abusing people, cant take someone who is 5ft 7 serious when they are acting the big man.

Serani Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Gambhirs behaviour is pathetic, always looking for trouble when the reality is most of the opposing side would crush him.
Andy Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Gambhirs behaviour is pathetic' date=' always looking for trouble when the reality is [b']most of the opposing side would crush him. Come again? :cantstop:
ganeshran Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Whats size got to do with abusing :dontknow: So are bigger players allowed to abuse, because they "look" good while doing it?
achilles Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Good to see you can't disagree with anything I posted hence the inane' date=' generic response.[/quote'] The way I look at it, I do not wish to write 4-5 posts trying to state my response. Especially when my response is well documented and you do not wish to listen.
DomainK Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 People like Ganmbhir simply refuse to take ****. They give back twice what they get. Much better than old days when Indians used to apologize after getting abused.
Sachin=GOD Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Gambhir looks like a lil brat when he starts abusing people' date=' [b']cant take someone who is 5ft 7 serious when they are acting the big man. he may be small in height but make no mistake about it, he has a high stature :hatsoff:
vaibhav_delhi Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 lol....gambo is awesome in my opinion, he's a feisty character but never starts **** And gives back with interest whenever provoked. real d*** is bhajji, slaps his own india team mate after he loses the match.
