jairamesh Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I am always one for innocent banter with our padosi but I think time ICC looks into getting some International Cricket in Pakistan. At current de-facto time the situation is even more tenuous in Pakistan between stability and mayhem, and it is putting unfair pressure on players to select to tour Pakistan. But I say ICC should only allow tours to Pakistan if the government guarantee 100%, 24 hour presidential security and allow touring teams to bring their own security like afforded to the high-level American visitors. At the end of the day the ball is in Pakistan's government's, military's court, and most of all PCB to do something about it and put forward a worthwhile proposal, rather than aimlessly poking around asking "heh lankan buddy...you interested coming to lahore to play some cricket?" Sachin=GOD Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Sri Lankans would be absolutely mad if they decide to go.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Pakistan A v Afghanistan at Abbottabad May 29, 2011 cant wait for this epic encounter :nervous: at the historic venue first lets see if this match goes underway without any problem
Misu243 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Actually I don't think it is safe for even Pakistan to play in Pakistan
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Pakistan A v Afghanistan at Abbottabad May 29, 2011 cant wait for this epic encounter :nervous: at the historic venue first lets see if this match goes underway without any problem could you imagine who would have been the guest of honor this match!, :haha: and besides selection of Abbottabad as a venue is slap on face for Afghanistan.

DomainK Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Pakistan A v Afghanistan at Abbottabad May 29, 2011 cant wait for this epic encounter :nervous: at the historic venue first lets see if this match goes underway without any problem AFAIK PCB refused to give Afghanistan any special security. They will get the normal security local police provides.
achilles Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 SL will not play in Pakistan, unless they want to annoy the India :D
saneindian Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 IIRC, some Lankan cricketers and board officials had recently said they do not have a problem in playing in Pakistan again. Time to put those words into action. Let the idiots go there and enjoy the hospitality like they did in 2009.
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Sometimes I enjoy the "love in moments" the SL and Pakistan board, players, fans etc. have with each other to put a united front against India. But they seem to always fail to understand the reality in terms of financially and opportunities India has to offer, especially when they like to take with one hand and point fingers with the other. I especially lay my criticism to SL's politicians and cricket board.
Vijay.Sharma Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 SL will not play in Pakistan' date=' unless they want to annoy the India :D[/quote']and get some bullets pumped up their ass
jairamesh Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 and get some bullets pumped up their ass i hope it's figuratively speaking, or else that it some painful sh|t!:bumsmack: though I wouldn't put it pass some random al-holy-something group!
Bumper Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 The other day i read that Dawood Ibrahim ran away from Pakistan for a few days (following the Obama led Osama hunt) & there is a news item on ToI that Gangsta Dawood postponed his son Moin's reception on security concerns. No kidding! Here is a list of things i would like to see before inviting international cricket teams to tour Pak. 1) Dawood Ibrahim & co must feel safe http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Worried-Dawood-Ibrahim-puts-off-sons-wedding-reception/articleshow/8519582.cms 2) Pakistani army establishment must feel safe http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/pakistan/Terrorists-attack-Pakistan-military-base-10-killed/articleshow/8517892.cms 3) Pakistani soldiers must feel safe http://www.newser.com/story/108261/militants-coordinated-attacks-kill-11-soldiers-in-pakistan.html 4) Pakistani police must feel safe http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2721272/posts 5) Pakistani citizens must feel safe http://www.sananews.net/english/2011/02/01/dsp-among-seven-killed-in-peshawar-terrorist-attacks/ Then we can talk about international cricket teams touring Pakistan.

That reminded of this Donald Duck story...watched it in 88/89 or maybe even before that. You know how Donnie is always troubled by this bee fellow and the chipmunks? Well, this time he is picnicking and there is a lion and his son who wanna steal some food from Donny. The guy takes his rifle and shoots them....hilarious stuff....the bullets follow the lion and his cub zig zagging. almost as they are about to hit the cub, the cub smartly uses his paws and directs them behind the lion. The lion gets hit....next scene, the cub is taking out one bullet after the other from his dad's bum. And the lion goes "AAAAAWWWWWWW" when the cub picks out a bullet. LOL! was imagining Ajantha Mendis plucking out bullets from Sanga's bum like that...LOL! LOL! LOL!
Alchemist Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 The karachi attack only suggests that nothing is safe in Pakistan ATM. So no more home cricket for Pakis.
