Parth Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Is the UDRS system being used in India's tour of England knowing the BCCI's stand against it
saneindian Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Hotspot available in England and Australia- Will we say yes to UDRS for those tours? Our board and players have often argued how having hotspot makes the UDRS complete and cuts down on obvious errors. For our tour to England and Australia over the next 6-9 months, we will have the hotspot available as part of the UDRS, shouldn't we agree to use UDRS for those series? Discuss.
Serani Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Hopefully Ashoka turns up, India will change there mind about UDRS quickly.
Parth Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 I believe that unless every test series anywhere in the world has the same technology available the UDRS should not be used
jairamesh Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 If hotspot is guaranteed in England (which it will be), then use it. But I don't think India will use it, because the ultimate decision will be made by players and there are few yet to be convinced.
ganeshran Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Hotspot is a great technology and if available, UDRS should certainly be used.
asterix Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 If UDRS is used the Strauss (he is very experienced in "using" it) has a good chance in outsmarting Dhoni in Test matches..
Cricket Tragic Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Hopefully Ashoka turns up' date=' India will change there mind about UDRS quickly.[/quote'] :hahaha: Asoka has been kicked out of the elite panel.

CoverDrive Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 It is time BCCI accepted UDRS. Just opposing for the sake of it will work against us. going ahead ICC is anyway going to make it compulsory and lack of experience will work against it.
ganeshran Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 :hahaha: Asoka has been kicked out of the elite panel. Dharamsena has replaced him :afraid:
Cricket Tragic Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Dharamsena has replaced him :afraid: I just wanted to focus on the good news. Dharma is a joke. Keep him for Tontee Tontee and other exhibition matches. No room in tests. I'm happy that the ICC is actually looking at results and dropping useless umpires.
rajmarie Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Sad for technology...hoping BCCI stupid stand (what can be expected from the idiots in BCCI anyway) dont come back to bite us during important stage in the series.
jibranpatel15 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 UDRS is must in these situations where the Umpires realy S U C K in making decesions. Doesn't matter where u play & against whom. When we have UDRS atleast player can't be given out wrongly in almost 90 percent.
