Here are my top 4 picks for the "unretire" event... 1. Waqar is dumped as coach and "Beast" is back 2. As soon as Butt goes 3. Before T20 Cup 4. As soon as someone offers him captaincy But since Paki cricketers don't "honor" their words Afridi could unretire as soon as tomorrow with an announcement that goes "I talked to my friends, family and daughters and they feel I can contribute to Pakistan cricket so in Pakistan's best interest I am unretiring".

Haha, the ban/unban fad has also come in but unretire/retire thing is an everlasting thing in Pakistani cricket. I remember Moyo's retirement announcement last year "I have retired.......for now"...and sure enough, he was back a couple of months later :giggle:

Some interesting quotes that I've read on the board & my own thoughts about this strange country come to my mind. Apparently in Pakistan, a) Cricketers never take a break - they retire and unretire. b) Players dont get dropped - they are banned and unbanned. c) Political leaders (ask Nawaz Sharif) are never ousted - they are exiled and unexiled. You are better off being a terrorist than a cricketer in Pakistan because: a) When you commit suicide as a terrorist you are glorified, but if you are a cricketer commiting suicide (esp against Australia) you will be stoned. b) If you drop a bomb as a terrorist you are glorified, you drop a catch as a cricketer you will be convicted. c) Terrorists at least know that they have virgins to look forward to. d) Terrorists dont get raped. e) As a terrorist you always get to play at home. So if you are growing up in Pakistan, looking for inspiration, dont bother with cricket!
