I won't believe this until the first batch is delivered. Its just so easy to throw a wrench in Indian government machinery post bofors scandal. Nonetheless, the right decision is made. IAF loves their mirage M2Ks.

^^ That sounds ridiculous! I mean Pak Bahrya considered the French/German options but chose the best, the Chinese (who else would give soft loans) .. They have such brilliant tailunt that would put HAL/DRDO etc to shame! I mean, just look at their first helicopter, you think Dhruv/LCH can stand next to it ?
Key features: - No runway for takeoff - No runway for landing - Pani pe bhi land karega - Pani se bhi takeoff karega - Alhamdulillah top notch, comparable to any (Lockheed/Boeing included) Beat that IAF!
Inshallah we is pwing IAF!

India needs to really start thinking about joining as partners and co developers, that way we get to learn from the best and also have a stake in it. I initially wanted us to get the EF but after research found out that the Raffy is the best fit, the EF is more of a dog fighter air to air superiority fighter, while the Raffy is multi role which was what the IAF wanted. I guess the Raffy is best bang for the buck and is a pretty good plane, and the French have always helped us even when the rest of the world placed sanctions on us, France and Israeli have always supported India.
