The unit cost of the C-17 comes to around $200 million. Even with associated costs, the final figure shouldnt go past 300 million dollars. Even Australia and Korea's deals came to almost the exact the same price. Then why are we being sold the aircraft at around $410 million per piece? Are there some additional costs involved?

Good Idea :nice: But Gunner, the public has the right to know what their money is being spent on. I didnt ask for the details of the hardware being brought - just the heads of expenditure. i.e. the amount being spent on the planes, maintenance contracts, avionics etc.

No country releases this kind of info absolutely no one.
