cowboysfan Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 they are in big trouble with their bowling attack. They play 3 tests against the aussies @ home and 3 against the saffers in south africa later this year. They may not win even one of those matches.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Time for the Australian batsmen to fill their boots after the Ashes.
VRV Singh Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Sounds like they're putting a lot on this Pradeep guy. BAW is a bit mediocre these days huh.
Vijay.Sharma Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I expect SL to beat the Aussies at home but you can expect a 0-3 thumping handed to them by the saffers later.
Zelig Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Lanka are yet to beat Oz in a Test series. Me thinks the record will stand until EOW :om:
cowboysfan Posted June 7, 2011 Author Posted June 7, 2011 I expect SL to beat the Aussies at home but you can expect a 0-3 thumping handed to them by the saffers later. the aussies whitewashed them the last series(3-0) in sri lanka.the aussies are not good now but the sri lankan bowling is worse.
Karan114 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 South Africa will annihilate them. They will likely draw against the Aussies though - both attacks will struggle.
singhprakash72 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 SL will need sportive pitches to start winning outside SL and now even inside SL. India had same problem in 90s winning consistently @ home and losing consistently abroad.Although India still has some flat patta pitches but pitches in big test centers like Kolkata, Bangalore,Mohali, Chennai and Mumbai are relatively better off. The current SL is much better outfit than they were a decade ago and I am sure they can beat AUS and SA in their home ground if they get above their mental block.

India had same problem in 90s winning consistently @ home and losing consistently abroad. Fail logic. :fail: To win outside you need good bowlers which is why India despite having excellent batting have not won in their last away series in Au,Pak,SL & SA. Also SL pitches are more supportive than Indian pitches. In last 5 years, India had 9 draws out of 22 at home compare to SL 7 draws in same number of matches at home. :winky: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/team/8.html?class=1;filter=advanced;home_or_away=1;orderby=default;spanmax1=08+Jun+2011;spanmin1=08+Jun+2006;spanval1=span;template=results;type=team http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/team/6.html?class=1;filter=advanced;home_or_away=1;orderby=default;spanmax1=08+Jun+2011;spanmin1=08+Jun+2006;spanval1=span;template=results;type=team
Sid Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Suddenly there is a new found concern for SL cricket team's future in ICF,2nd thread about their future in one week :hmmm:

Also I mentioned India still has dead pitches but I bet they are way better than sleeping beauties in SL & Pak.India has seen recent encounters with Aus/SA in Kolkata,Mohali,Bangalore ...which you will never see in SL and Pak for sure. On another note India does not boost lightning attack but it has wins in AUS,SA,WI,NZ and ENG outside subcontinent...I bet if India has not won series in SA /Aus so has AUS/SA not won a series in India in last 7-8 yrs. The closest any attack that can win in India or anywhere in world is SA and India almost won the series in SA this time but for defensive tactics from Dhoni.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Suddenly there is a new found concern for SL cricket team's future in ICF' date='2nd thread about their future in one week :hmmm:[/quote'] We've played so many matches against SL recently that most fans now consider SL to be a part of India. :yay:
