Ashwin dismissed Watson and Punter. 49.1 Harbhajan Singh to DJ Hussey, 5 wides, sees him come down the track, fires it in on leg stump, but it ends up far wide down the leg side, Dhoni had no chance Story of Bhajji's bowling these days Why to just pick one game of Ashwin? If you have forgotten then ponting was out LBW by Bhajji,but Dhoni Wasted UDRS and India was unable to refer that Decision.Also what About India -Pak cricket Match in which Harbhajan bowled beautifully and cleaned bowled Umar Akamal and took the wicket of Afridi.Even Afridi admitted at the end of Match that he delayed powerplay because he wanted Bhajji to finish his over

These guys are so full of hate that they have lost objectivity. People should be happy that there are two good bowlers for India but some of them will go to any extent to bring Bhaji down.

FFS he averages 40 in the last couple of years. I dont know how that can be overlooked by his batting. Maybe he should be playing as a batsmen then.

He relies on bounce in the wicket, and the last 2 overseas tours we played, he has done well (in NZ and SA). And of course, numerous times he has saved our ass by batting. Criticize him all you want to, but to trivialize his contribution by saying all he has done in past 2 years is "one batting innings" is in poor taste.

I was replying to someone who bumped this up and asked for the "bhajji haters" to come out after 1 innings. So his was based on 1 innings. I never trivialized any of his batting performances. I feel that as one of the bowlers, his first job should be taking wickets. If a bowler is selected for his batting, then he should be an all-rounder and should be fighting for a spot with one of the batsmen and not a bowlers spot.

I am not a 'hater' or a 'backer' of Bhajji but this is the annoying thing. Yes he is excellent where there is bounce but as a guy who has almost 400 wickets and plenty of experience, he hasn't found a way to get wickets on low, slow wickets where he plays half the time. And I get the feeling that he just 'operates' instead of working batsmen out by setting up a dismissal in the same way that say Zaheer Khan does. Hell, even Amit Mishra seems to set up batsmen with simple-ish cross seam and steady seam deliveries.

And all you guys thinking this is a one time thing have a damn short memory...the guy had back to back centuries at #8 against NZ. Is he a wicket taking machine??? No Can he get a reasonable score with the bat and be economical with the ball? Yes. Btw - Ashwin/Mishra etc we dont exactly have the second coming of Shane Warne waiting to replace Bhajji.

The ball is spinning so much that the straighter one or the doosra is a very dangerous ball here. If likes of Ajmal can bowl doosras without worrying about legality of the bowling action, so should Harbhajan. IMO on this pitch Ashwin would have been a handful as his carrom ball and straighter one would have been very tough to handle on a pitch which is turning so much already on the start of 2nd day.

Dhoni one upped me and dropped Yusuf and solved the overs dilemma by having Sachin and Kohli even help out part time. Gambhir came through for India when they need him the most - and for that I eat crow's pie. Can any of you Bhajji haters admit the same??
