The film is about rich teenagers taking risks in life and how their games go fatally wrong, which brings out the SHAITAN in them Anyone seen it? Bejoy Nambiar directorial debut, produced by Anurag Kashyap. Got rave reviews Pankaj Sabnani from Glamsham gave the film 4/5 and said "Shaitan is a spellbinding thriller with 'awesomeness' written all over it." Ankit Ojha of Planet Bollywood praised the film and it's thematic element to a large extent, giving the movie 9 stars out of 10, there by also writing, "Nambiar has managed to impress each and everyone of the discerning film viewer and movie buff. This is Hindi cinema finally coming of age! Recommended for more than one watch, as to absorb the totality of the film’s context and subtext! Outstanding stuff!
zombiePotato Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 saw it yesterday. The movie is brilliant in patches. Has a few breathtaking camerawork. Went with high expectations. I am not disappointed but something is missing in the movie. May be the characters are a bit softer than I anticipated. Nothin much Shaitaan about them. All in all a good effort by the debutant director. Personal Rating 3.2/5. Not recommended for the mainstream bollywood lovers. :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
