BERGKAMP Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 He is a talented trundler, but he has no intelligence or common sense. First to get warned two times and then still go ahead and run into the danger area, and then to play an idiotic shot as he did in a precarious match situation shows he is a liability. If he carries on in this vein he will do more harm than good to the team!

If he carries on in this vein he will do more harm than good to the team! What else do you expect from a trundler? He bowled well if not excellently well and this was his first test so give the guy a break. Don't criticize him so much that he becomes another swing bowler to go down the drain after IKP.
Pagalpanti Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 It was his first test. You can't expect him him to do everything right, only some players can do that in their debut. But you should infact appreciate how well he has performed given that most of us didn't even give him a chance or had faith in him to do well. Players learn over-the time. He accepted in interview that he was in a rythm and didn't care about the warning and said he'll look to fix it in time.
BERGKAMP Posted June 23, 2011 Author Posted June 23, 2011 I would love it if he proved me wrong and went on to be a consistent wicket taker, let's wait and see.

Sidhoni Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 According to ICF : 1 test enough for judging a player's whole carrier.Or maybe a young team's future.
ensd2 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 it doesn't matter how he bats , he has bowled superbly gives this guy some credit
Karan114 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 it doesn't matter how he bats ' date= he has bowled superbly gives this guy some credit Yes he bowled well but he keeps running onto the danger area.
TheWall Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 More than praveen Dhoni should have restrained a bit...
The Outsider Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Praveen played a terrible shot, but he is a tail end batsman on debut and will probably learn with experience. I'd be more worried about Dhoni's continued mediocrity unless given a platform of 300/5.
