His coach said he would miss the first three Tests and possibly the final one as well. Nothing certain yet, but personally I'm not expecting him to play in England.

That is crap man, huge blow. Sets us back from the outset. Wonder how much Vijay and/or Mukund can do to fill his considerable shoes. They both need serious runs in this series thats for sure.

They both need serious runs in this series thats for sure.[/quote'] I'm assuming Vijay and Mukund will both tour in Sehwag's absence, but as some posters have mentioned, Patel and Karthik can also open, and they can double up as reserve keepers, so maybe the selectors might go down that route. If they do, then the second Test could become a virtual "bat-off" between Mukund and Vijay as the squad is selected at the end of that game.
