gakgupta Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Having said that our regular openers gauti and sehwag are prone to injuries, as they are giving so much importance to useless, crap, good for nothing IPL, india would require some quality back-up openers in tests. Already seen quality of india's next best opening contenders (vijay and mukund), should rohit get a chance to take up this role. Yeah...this is a specialist job and should have exp dealing with new ball, but sehwag has proved that this role can be taken up by middle order batsman too.... Should we try him out for few matches? He is too good a batsmen not to play international tests...
deepak_sach Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Just one test and ABhinav Mukund is being written off?
deepak_sach Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 How many chances were NOHIT given... even though he did well in WI he does not do well against top opposition. Just the guy Mukund time His average is better than Rohit,,,,,,
Sidhoni Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I dont think he will make it as a mid-order batsman, forget abt opening.
