UDRS with Run Penalty

One of the BCCI members said that only 2 reviews hurt batsman coming down the order,because in most circumstances batsman up the order use them... So why not have a UDRS with run penalty. If a batsman is given out,and the batsman reviews it and is still out,15 runs must be taken from the batting side. If a batsman is given not out and the bowling team reviews it and is still not out,15 runs must be added to the batting side. Else if the correct decision comes via UDRS no change is score. This will help in infinite use of UDRS ,so that batsman and fielders do not use it just for the sake of using it and wasting peoples time watching.It will also help in getting the correct decision because if a batsman is so sure,he can review it whenever he wants instead of a restriction.

Idiotic ....! This would've been OK if Technology can be used to review with 100% accuracy, else it makes the system much more complicated. Imagine a batsman is very sure that he hasn't hit the ball which is given out by umpire, and go for a review only to be found inconclusive by replays and upheld the umpire's decision. How does he and his team feel, if they lose 15 runs for none of his faults? Imagine if that comes during crucial phase of the match...

Then why not have analysts like in Rugby who see hotspot and snicko and everything and if they think the umpire is wrong they ask their players to go for the review. After all,all u want is the correct decision.

No way! A decision is changed via UDRS when the umpire is absolutely sure and there is no doubt in umpire's mind.But that does not happen in most cases and so, as urbestfriend said, there would be n fault of the batsman but still there will be 15 runs deducted, and that happening in a crucial phase might change the match completely, Imagine that happening with Sehwag in the WC Final, we would have been chasing 290!
