Ram
Shoudnt Dhoni bat higher up the order permanently ? I think his talent is wasted at 7. He is not a keeper who bats , which was the essential reason he was propped at no.7 intially. He is match-winning batsman who keeps. I say make him come at 3,4 and utilize his talents more , like AUS do for Gilly. Link to comment
King
Depends really. Yesterday he batted no.7 and dd the job just right. I won't say it was a great knock considering almost everyone from the Afro XI bowled but still a decent knock under the conditions. Link to comment
Chandan
And who'd do the job in the slog overs if Dhoni bats up the order? Link to comment
Ram
A shocking stat that i found.. When India wins - Dhoni averages 85 When India loses - Dhoni averages 24 This stat is better put in perspective when you put it as - When Dhoni scores runs , India invariably wins. You would want that type of batsman to have the oppurtunity to bat as many overs as he can... not come at 7.. Link to comment
