Australian umpire Daryl Harper has admitted that he committed errors while officiating in the first cricket Test between India and the West Indies but said Indian players too did not play in the spirit of the game. "I didn't have my best game of the year but referee Jeff Crowe, who observed every ball, calculated that I had managed to get 94 per cent of all my decisions correct. That analysis was confirmed from headquarters in our Dubai office," Harper said about the series-opener, which India won by 63 runs. "There was one LBW against Harbhajan that would have been reversed had Decision Review System been available. This is surprising from Harper. He generally seems so cordial on the field, and is supposedly fluent in Hindi too. He must have taken the elite panel layoff quite hard. It was such an innocuous remark from Dhoni.

It's all turning out quite ugly actually. Harper should have been more sporing. You made serious mistakes, you were criticized. At international level mistakes of such proportions hardly ever escape criticism. He needs to man up and STFU.

Lol at 94%. I remember him officiating more recently in the WC....most of his decisions were wrong....& if I remember correctly..ICC even replaced him & Asoka from some of the matches. So 94% is all bullshit....or maybe 94% includes things like his correctly signaled a boundry when it was stuck...& correctly counted 6 legal deliveries for an over.
