deepak_sach Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Keith Miller, do you have to ask? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Miller ICC fans eleven means the fans can select only people they like and they have seen. They cannot select based on cricinfo or wikipedia or statsguru.
Guest Gunner Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 ICC fans eleven means the fans can select only people they like and they have seen. They cannot select based on cricinfo or wikipedia or statsguru. There are people who have seen Miller unfortunately the Indian mob will shout them down. Even in India there are people who have heard radio commentary of Miller batting or bowling and seen video footage etc. So no, it isn't based on statsguru. On the contrary, you wouldn't probably make out how good he was, if you looked just at his stats.
kabira Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 who saw Keith Miller?? Whoever may have seen him, may not be using internet :--D
deepak_sach Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 who saw Keith Miller?? Whoever may have seen him, may not be using internet :--D +1
Guest Gunner Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 who saw Keith Miller?? Whoever may have seen him, may not be using internet :--D Fair enough and in many cases probably not alive either but that shouldn't detract us from the fact that he was a great player.
deepak_sach Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Fair enough and in many cases probably not alive either but that shouldn't detract us from the fact that he was a great player. it is not alltime icc XI .it is alltime icc fans XI
deepak_sach Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 If it was ICC Best Eleven selected by Boycott we would not have Tendu in there..
Guest Gunner Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 it is not alltime icc XI .it is alltime icc fans XI And fans are not expected to be clever? Voting for Kapil dev ahead of Sobers and Miller is a joke. I can accept Kapil dev as the 3rd or 4th best all rounder ever but not THE best.
Guest Gunner Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 If it was ICC Best Eleven selected by Boycott we would not have Tendu in there.. FFS boycott selected Wilfred Rhodes who has only every played in Eng, OZ and SA. What does that tell you about boycott?

I can accept Kapil dev as the 3rd or 4th best all rounder ever but not THE best. Please remember that most of the Indian fans are not neutral. They would like to see their players in the best team.So they would have voted for their favourite players not necessarily great players intot the team.

Which is why democracy is a failed system.
ganeshran Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Which is why democracy is a failed system. And, which is a successful system?
kabira Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 ^well its not the system that is failure. Whichever system involved humans is going to fail, as there are humans who are subject to failure. So in short everything is failure. Democracy, Communists, Socialism etc etc..:--D
Cricket Tragic Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 who saw Keith Miller?? Whoever may have seen him, may not be using internet :--D John Woodcock saw Bradman bat and is still a passionate follower of the game.

Serani Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 When are the nominations for Biggest FTB and most over rated player being revealed? Dhoni must be up there for that.
Brainfade Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 When are the nominations for Biggest FTB and most over rated player being revealed? Dhoni must be up there for that. Oh ... that's an ICF, not ICC People's choice award.
Serani Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Oh ok, someone make a poll then, Dhoni should win hands down.
