In Defence of the BCCI

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are still playing cricket because we have adopted them. Zimbabwe has not been blacklisted coz BCCI wants them to play. Unlike England, we have not castigated and punished a country for the acts of one man. We are a great country, we care for all the member nations equally and treat them fairly. PS - I just can't seem to understand why it is difficult for the English and the Aussies to get used to seeing us in the Boss' chair. Look, we are gonna be running the game for another 10-20yrs. Love it or hate it, you've gotta deal with it.[/QUOTE] You might have the money $$$ but the cameras go where the real action is and I dont think India will have the best team soon when your greats retire

Other countries don't have leagues. You don't want dull games being played. Wasn't Eng and Aus against teams in WC ?
The BCCI want to have those four nations playing each other more and excluding others. You cannot get much more harmful to cricket than naked self interest

wobbly am still asking for answer to my questions, which you are hiding from. Got nothing have you? Keep desperatly googling until you have something to throw at BCCI. I have asked you since yesterday and still nothing?Shows you have nothing in mind just agenda of hate. Keep googling:cantstop:
You really make me laugh with your claims about SA players playing for England being an abuse of cricket. Well the BCCI's sponsorship of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh is an abomination. Basically buying their votes at the ICC through pumping money into their game. We never abused the management of cricket like that in our time

Agree
What is worse is the BCCI buying Zimbabwes and Bangladeshes votes at the ICC by giving them money to their organisations It is disgusting and sees the ICC as a toothless tiger totally in the power of the BCCI

Whats wrong with giving other organizations money ? Isn't it helping them ?

You fool How can English teams tour Zimbabwe when English and European people are getting murdered every day there. It would be like you touring Pakistan Whilst at war with them DUH
You British never learn, do you? You keep poking your nose in the business of other countries. According to BBC, England is not playing Zimbabwe because of political unrest, not the murder of Europeans and the British. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/7471238.stm Fool!

Oh ya Wobbly, you tool, you talk about the blatant self-interest blah blah of BCCI. What about ECB- 1. Stealing players from other countries (so much caring for other nations' cricket). 2. Armtwisting the ICC into dropping Zimbabwe's place in the World T20 in 2009. 3. Inventing T20 and then conveniently forgetting that when targetting IPL. 4. Scheduling series precisely during the IPL for 2 yrs straight to show how BCCI is a tool Others can add to this list.

Right. When the entire cricketing world was boycotting SA for its apartheid policy, England and Aus were the two sides regularly playing cricket with them!! And what about the WCs being held only in England and no where else?

!/ We dont steal players 2/We dont have the votes to arm twist the ICC but The BCCI do with their purchased votes 3/We did not forget , but we did not expect a country to stupidly allow the short form of the game to be allowed to harm the real game just to make lots of $$$$$ 4/ The IPL is far to influencial and is harming cricket

No its fine as long as the money does not come with strings attached
Some of you arguments make sense. But some just seem to come out of hatred towards the BCCI.

Try reading a bit sonny. What do you think that political unrest is? Mugabe's peoples party have been murdering and raping the citizens of Zimbabwe and killing land owners and farmers of European Origin and not just a few hundreds of them A bit like if we decided over here we did not like our immigrants and started murdering them That is ver very wrong So read up sonny before you open your mouth or address the keyboard

You raped and repeatedly raped our country for 150 years. Your point?

Oh and what about the BCCI twisting the ICC's wrist over the WADA drugs testing issue that the rest of the worlds sport have to adhere to, but of course the Indian players dont want it?

We formed alliances with your royalty We built the infrastructure of your country that you are still using. The reason you are typing in English on your keyboard, our education systems for all So if you only want to look at the bad stuff do, but I suggest you watch Monty Pythons Life of Brian And apply the "what did the Romans ever do for us" sketch to The British
