Why don't you suggest to the ECB that they only play 5 day games between counties and instantly severe all cricketing ties with India. We wouldn't object.

As for the run rate, yes I agree, but it has also meant that when the wicket is playing up that there are not so many with the skiills to cope with it at test level Big money is generated because people wanna see that format. Sport is about entertaining people and t 20 is a great advertisement for cricket. Icc is trying for a t 20 format in olympic games as well. The great game is not gonna be hurt because of ipl. Skill level has been increased because of ipl or t 20, Batsmen try new shots and bowlers develop their skill for t 20 format which could be used for test cricket.

How many test matches do you think India played in Australia between the 1987 WC and the year 2000? Why don't you take a gander? There is no hypocrisy involved here, we understand perfectly what we are saying.
