Does DRS mean 'Dravid Removal System'?

Chester-le-Street: Rahul Dravid continues to be at the receiving end of controversial decisions on the current England tour as he was once again on Saturday ruled out caught behind despite 'Hot Spot' not detecting an edge off his bat. England paceman Stuart Broad appealed for a catch behind the wicket off his own bowling in the first ODI here, but umpire Billy Doctrove ruled the appeal not out. After England asked for a review, despite several replays, the edge off Dravid's bat could not be established. How on the earth Dravid was still given out can only be told by one man, third umpire Marais Erasmus. Earlier, in the third Test, Dravid was ruled caught-behind off James Anderson in India's second innings even though his bat had hit his shoelace, and not the ball. Then, in the fourth Test, he was again given out caught-behind in India's second innings after a referral by England, even though the snickometer apparently showed that there was no contact between the ball and bat before it landed into England wicket-keeper Matt Prior's gloves. These incidents are sure to fuel the DRS debate and add strength to BCCI's stand as they have opposed the adoption of DRS expressing doubts on technology. On a different note, this series seems to have everything to do with Dravid. When India needs runs, it's Dravid. When India needs batsmen for Twenty20 and ODIs, it's Dravid. Just plain darn stupid.. 1.It was Dravid who opt not to go for the DRS for shoelace dismissal (maybe Tendu convinced him) .Why complain DRS for that? 2.Dravid was saved because of DRS in the second innings of the 4th test .Original decision was out but after Dravid referred it was given not out. If not for DRS Dravid wouldn't evan be there for his dismissal . Why Don't you see the good side of it?

Sensationalistic headline, a la Hindi news channels. I read what happens. And Dravid saw the replay in the dressing room immediately after coming back.... sometimes, Dravid should just stand there and challenge the decision and make an issue out of it. Regardless, someone will be losing an IPL contract for umpiring.

^ what stupidity (not at u) is that? Baby Broad is always convinced about every DRS appeal he makes. I think the bugger needs to be reined in. Either his father should get out of the MR thingy or Stuart Broad should stiop playing cricket for England. His father's presence in the MR thing is disgusting and is a clear case of shameless, blatant and conscpicuous abuse of law. For those who argue that the daddy-baby duo does not cause anything bad for cricket, just look at the times the baby boy has been allowed to get away with rampant abuse of law. The only explanation is that the umps are too effing scared to report him coz daddy Broad will probably take their case. Baby Broad does: stop a ball with his spiked shoes - nothing happens throws a ball to hurt Haider and nothing happens does all sorts of antics and nothing happens argues worse than kindergarten kid and nothing happens but the very next day when praceen kumar does half of what baby broad did, pravenn immediately gets hauled for it. What the eff is going on?

The day is not far away when the English and Aussies would be fined and banned for even minor transgressions while the Asians get away. What goes around comes around.
