Sidhoni Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I am happy, I mentioned abt this change in another thread too. Lets not think who he has replaced, but still he was one of the best choices, Uthappa can be brought in in place of Nohit. http://sports.ndtv.com/ind-eng-2011/news/item/178074-its-an-honour-to-replace-sachin-badrinath?=cricket Called in to the Indian squad as the replacement for Sachin Tendulkar, Subramaniam Badrinath feels that it is an honour for him to replace the Master Blaster in the Indian line-up for the ongoing ODI series in England. (Also see: Sachin, 7 others injured on England tour) "Second time ....been called up to replace the greatest batsman in the world....it's such a honour...!!!!", Badrinath tweeted in the early hours of Monday. Team India has been shaken by as many as eight injuries on the England tour and have been forced to rely on replacements to sail the ship through. The Indian team plays its second One Day International at Southampton on Tuesday after the first one was abandoned due to rain.
achilles Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I'm a big fan of Badri. But he doesn't deserve to be there.
gaurav92 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 And Sidhoni woke up from deep slumber :giggle:

achilles Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Why? He doesn't have the technique on his side to back him in England. He was struggling in India in Tests and whatever ODIs he's played, he has struggled.
Sidhoni Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 ^ But he can be given a chance, and moreover, its not certain that he'll play, maybe he's there just to warm the benches.

I'm saying the same thing that you are since Dec 2009. But he clearly lacks what it takes to sustain himself at the top.
