Five England cricketers are in line for million-dollar deals after new Indian Premier League chief Rajeev Shukla confirmed they were priorities on his competitionÃÔ shopping list. Neither 32-year-old Swann, nor Anderson, 29, have Ž*featured in the IPL to date, but both have expressed a desire to do so. And their LordÃÔ bosses might view their participation in 2012 as a Ž*compromise if they can negoŽ*tiate an Ž*agreement for them not to play in 2013 when Andy Flower will want his men fresh for back-to-back Ashes series. Flower has admitted he didnÃÕ know if an English Ž*exodus to the Ž*tournament was ÃÔtoppable given the riches on offer. A $1m player would earn more than Ž£400,000 for four weeks work on a pro rata basis, outstripping what they pick up annually for a central contract.

The ECB doesn't allow them to play in FLt20 regularly. Will it allow its players to come for the IPL especially when the IPL season clashes with English domestic season and early English summer? Also talking of the megabucks, don't think too many teams have got money left out of the 9 millions cap they can spend on players.

Swann is a good pick. But not James Anderson and Stuart Broad. They are simply good Test players and any franchise that invests in them will bear the brunt.

Anderson will get murdered on Indian pitches. he took 4 wickets for 282 runs at an average of 70 and economy of 6.55 during the Worldcup

ECB wont allow it to happen. They hate the IPL. More jealousy than hate probably seeing as they invented T20 but India is the ones making mega bucks from it.
