Sid Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 He is a very good limited overs bowler and a slogger who may click once in 10-15 matches, thats it.Sorry C_G he will never reach legendary status.
yoda Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 ^then that will be another good cricketer' date= playing for stats, coming to cricket arena and then retiring once, and then expiring. this is legacy of different kind. somef the osts in this threads deserve big :facepalm I mean the guy is 2nd in this years wickets list. performing with bat too now. took his team to semi(say thanks to me ive put a smile on your face) and aga impssible to to see how good and unique afridi is if its from your most hated country or even not from india. his stats now are reaching legendary status. :giggle:

The guy averages 23 with the bat and till recently wasn't even a specialist spinner/bowler. How exactly is that legendary status" :hmmm: If India had continued with either of the Pathan bros continuously for 10+ years no matter their numerous failures they would have had similar stats as well, or better seeing that Yusuf already has 2 100s in comparatively fewer chances he has got compared to the "legend". Going by his track record, I am sure the next breakthrough performance from him wll come in 2014 :haha:
Cricket_Guru Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 :giggle: samjiya kar na! thats post is for those who are crying in this thread that his performances are once in a blue moon typo. well its not if you look at it that way. ani still stand by, he isnt one em. he plays withlarge heart.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 mashahllah, hopefully this seals his place in the side for the next 10 years, insahallah. all indian supporters should be delighted to see magnificent cricketers like afriddi, imran farhat, razzak and hafeez continuing to do well.

And my favorite Misbah. I wish he plays every match against India for eternity :--D
CSK Fan Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 BTW, most of his bowling performances are in the sub-continent and against near minnow teams like WI and Sri Lanka now. Lets see how he fares else-where
Utalk Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 His career bowling stats against Aus(best ODI side of last 15 years) are up there with the best. He record against India is mediocre but spinners have tend to struggle against Indians so not a surprise, His record against Eng is good. Again that's expected because Eng suck against decent spin in ODIs. His stats against all other major teams are average. He is having a good 12 months(not four years as some ppl suggest) but not a world beater by any means.
hassan_113 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Sachin was dropped 3 times off his bowling in Mohali!
