Predator_05
How do you think they will fare under the Swede ? City, despite being a fairly big club - have never managed to compete for the top positions in the Premiership. Now with Thaksin as the benefactor, the funds will be there to spend and Eriksson has been instructed to challenge for Champions League places within the next two seasons. It's a bit far-fetched to imagine City playing in Europe after their poor performances last season, but they do have some promising young talent in their XI - Micah Richards is one of the best young defenders in the world and seems like a more powerful version of William Gallas, Onuoha is a decent right back with bags of pace, in Ireland they have a good central midfielder. Alongside these young talents, you have proven Premiership performers like Dunne, Hamann, Vassell. Could they do a "Portsmouth" under Eriksson ? The Swede has a fantastic club record and has won more titles in his career than City have in their entire history.

Predator_05
They have signed Rolando Bianchi from Reggina. This guy scored 18 goals in Serie A last season - which is very impressive when considering that he played for a club battling relegation.
Predator_05
Now they have signed Martin Petrov from Atletico Madrid. Another excellent signing. City are shaping up nicely for next season.
Sooda
Add to that Valeri Bojinov...supposed to be a good young talent -if these guys settle down to the Prem game quick enough they'll be a handful
Predator_05
This is one hell of a team that City are building. Today they completed a triple signing - Elano, Garrido and Corluka I predict a top 8 finish for them this season.
Predator_05
Just watched a replay of the 0-2 win. A very good performance from City earned them their first Premiership win of the season at Upton Park against a decent West Ham side. Elano looks like a class act, decent playmaker; could be one of the signings of the season. Their defence was largely untroubled and will be difficult to beat. I reckon Eriksson can take this team to a top 7 finish...the quality is definitely there.
