Dude, Kapil was my hero...Kapil Dev is the reason I am a cricket fan. As an AR he is probably the best after Imran, and Sobers. As a bowler he was too good thru the 80s but his crawling to 434 after the Aussie tour of 91-92 is what has taken off the sheen a bit just like how Bhajji's darting of late has taken off the sheen from his achievements from before.

anyways..credit must be given where it is due..he is a class apart on the sub continent..and have really outstanding innings in his name..one is this test match where he made sri lanka victorious against rsa chasing 350+ in a test match and then world cup finals..and one innings against australia which sri lanka had lost

probably a better ODI player than Sanga who is better in Tests. Played some big innings in world Cups in crucial matches 2007 SF, 2011 Final.
