Will u shut up people? He is the highest scorer in this test series for India and u people are blaming him for not scoring a hundred?...!!! He is the best we have got. stupid people
He has been failing continuously for the last so much time. But, still all that sins can be washed a bit if he'd have scored a century today or played a meaningful innings in second innings and that could have given India some chance of saving the Perth test and levelling the series. Our bowlers did good job to come back in the match somehow. All eyes were on batsmen then. And again Sachin failed including all the batsmen. Whereas we have seen that if they show some application even R Ashwin can score runs. So, he deserves some criticism for sure.

conceding a deficit of 200 is "getting back in the game" ?
And it could be argued that deficit was caused due to four batsmen who we are made to believe are the best in the world - Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and Sehwag. Bowlers are rookies aside from Zak but our batters are not.

If India could have reached 350-400 in second innings somehow with the contribution of all the batsmen. Then you never know, 4rth innings pitch with lots of cracks. You can bundled out Australia with in 150. We also had to keep in mind, if we exclude Warner's innings and 1st wicket partnership, Australia's all 10 wickets got out for 155 runs. And basically, we are again behind in this match because of poor performance of our batsmen in 1st innings and then again in 2nd innings.

who cares, anyway sachin is not my favourite player, never was, but he should at least score some valuable runs for the team`s cause at adelaide

Only deluded ones would feel "our batsmen let us down" in the 2nd innings of the 2012 Perth test after watching them bat the way they've been since June 2011 at Lord's

Now blame bowlers for batsmen's fault :haha: Batsmen, including Tendulkar, couldn't last more than 60 overs or score more than 200 at both Sydney and Perth and somehow it's still bowlers who "conceded a deficit of 200" :hysterical: Looking at our batsmen losing top 4 wkts for 50-60 runs consistently it would have been better playing 11 bowlers. At least the matches would have been closer. Says a lot when our most composed batsman at the crease has been Ashwin.

It was him that said that the bowlers got us back into the match despite the 1st inngs failure. Anybody who has watched the matches will tell you that only SRT has looked like making runs. do you realize that it will still be a day 3 pitch even though the inngs is 4th ? Once you concede 200+ runs in the 1st inngs you are 99% dead.
Whose fault is it we are behind 200+ after 1st innings? Is it all on bowlers? And we have seen how "good" Tendulkar has looked and how he has "looked like making runs" before getting out as usual like the rest of them :haha: It's not about looking good, it's all about scoring runs and he has failed just like the rest of them.

what he meant was "I don't care how but somehow in my mind I know some XYZ is better than SRT ... the facts can go to hell " Entirely your mistake in arguing with such people.
Yup coz Tendulkar and company have been performing so admirably that we shouldn't even be looking at the youngsters :hysterical:

you might want to look at his claim that the bowlers "got us back in the match " which is what I was replying to
There was no getting into the game when your batsmen fold for 160 on Day 1 by tea time while batting 60 overs. But the bowlers have done what they could given hardly any runs to work with.

Wow..Now people are blaming sachin for scoring the highest score in the series for India. Happens only in India....:hysterical::hysterical: Those who want replacement for Sachin should tell who is that super talented youngster who can replace sachin and outscore him.? Come on guys..He is the best we have got..I agree laxman and dravid failed big time and looked completely out of touch. But y blame sachin? If every batsmen scored as many runs as sachin did in this series then we would have drawn or won those matches.

^^Do u contradict urself here bro?. U just said looking good does not matter if he can't make runs. Now u r saying Kohli looks good, but don't forget he have not outscored sachin this series. Why should he be dropped when he still has lot to offer? Laxman and dravid should retire as they look unfit and out of touch. Sachin still has lot to offer, we should be thankful to sachin that he is still playing for us.
I am giving the benefit of doubt to Kohli as he's our future. He is 7 Tests old and has progressively gotten better every innings he has played this series. Do you really want me to apply the same yardstick to Tendulkar who is pushing 40 and is nearing the end of his career? Do you really want to see him and other old-timers continue playing and not give youngsters like Rohit, Pujara, Rahane and Mukund any chances? He, along with other seniors" don't have "lot to offer". They are pushing 40 and the next 2 years we are at home. If we don't blood the youngsters now I don't know when we ever will considering the fact these players with "lot to offer" has let us down so emphatically in Eng and Aus where they were supposed to make the difference. They made the difference all right but for the opposition :haha:

No, ppl are saying the blame has to be shared everyone including Tendulkar. Highest scorer in the series is as meaningless as tits on a bull considering the "highest scorer" averages in 30s this series and has avtually been outscored by some margin by most of the opponent's batsmen.

^^Arey wah..If every batsmen scored as many runs as sachin did in indian batting line up then we would have won or drawn the series. Blame other batsmen, not Sachin.

Blame other batsmen' date=' not Sachin.[/quote'] Everyone has to take the blame. Standing out as a batsman is what Dravid did in England. Tendulkar has hardly done the same and as I pointed out if you are comfortably outscored by most of opposing batsmen and actually average in 30s during the series you haven't really made much of a difference. Tendulkar should not get a free pass for not doing anything of note in England and hardly doing anything of note here as well just because he is the "top scorer" averaging in 30s.

Sachin has not scored a single hundred in last 21 innings,so much for him looking good currently.Given the same amount of innings an youngster would have scored more and atleast a century.I don't understand people's fascination with this made up stat of hundred 100's,when did we start combining test and odi records together, why was their no such drama when warne and murali took 1000 international wickets. If you want the seniors to go all 3 of them should go no hypocrisy required.
