There's this guy called Gupta in it and he reminds me of our very own PK just that Gupta dunn seem to have PK's humor. Anyone seen it yet?

Or did the desis there feel that it was a little too much stereotyping. The funny part is that the actors seem to be ABCD's having Amreeki accents and trying hard to speak in desi accents Edit - some of them are even colored a little dark...check out the Assistant Manager Rajiv

Even if all of them watched, which they didn't because they were busy watching Hindi / regional programs, its would still have been pretty crappy rating for the show. The show was watched by reasonable number of general population, but it didn't have enough following to survive. I'm surprised that it lasted however long it did. Agree with you, its very funny.

They do sell! Friends, Seinfeld are not locally produced shows coming on Star TV or Zee TV every week. They are proven serials and don't need the domestic ratings to survive. Let's say on an Indian Soap opera channel they make a serial with a bunch of Whites and an Indian, do you think it will survive? BTW, I liked Outsourced and watched every episode, was quite surprised it got cancelled after 2 seasons. I don't think Gupta is anything like PK, he is a doofus, but an interesting character nevertheless. Talking about comedy serials, why does Indian Television lack good/any comedy serials? When I was in India couple of weeks ago, people were still watching these serious ones. Is that due to lack of good writers?

Go figure. I know many desis who don't watch desi porn, but watch the white variety.

NOT for Indian American peeps. And I think the show was offensive with excessive stereotyping.
