Difference of One Year

Last Year Australians were struggling Captain doing nothing Their experience batting line up doing nothing except for Hussey. Bowlers barely able to bowl decent spells. Fast Forward One year Captain Doing great Experience batters doing really well Same bowlers bowling great spells, even if they don't take wickets, they are always at the batsman. So what changed? 1. new captain 2. new coach and support staff 3. new bowling coach 4. bowlers got experienced in a year? what else? Altough they are playing against in form indian team. But atleast indian bowling was suppose to trouble them, even that has not happen. Wow India is doing what Australia did last year against England.

Australia are not that good - it's time to accept that India are crap. I would still rank this Australian side below England and South Africa. This is not a put down on the Australian effort and performance, but a slight on our over the hill batsmen. Laxman, Dravid, and Tendulkar - please leave the team. We might still lose with the same or even worse margins, but at the very least there would be hope that the replacements would improve. With this trio it's all downhill - there is nothing to look forward to except a few centuries and claims of getting back to form at home only to flounder in tough conditions.

One thing Definitely changed..Their Bowling coach Mcdermott ( i dont know he is there from last 1 year) adopted bowling full length aproach instead of typical Short pitch bowling. 2.They dropped MJ 3.Ricky ponting some how got his form back 4.Clarke is little bit more positive than other test captains currently (he is yet to lose a series after became Captain)

Well you are right, but Melbourne Test match day 2, India were on top, or perhaps even steven. Australians did not bowl well that afternoon. But they came back strong with better plan. In Perth our bowlers were horrible, Australia batted as many overs as India and now way batting was easier. Our bowlers cant put 6 bowls in one spot....So its complete team failure..doesn't make sense to blame just 3 guys. and one of them is highest run scorer

India had the opportunity to take the series by the scruff at Melbourne - 200/2 with Dravid and Tendulkar at the crease. What happened? Both floundered. A 1-0 at Melbourne with Dravid or Tendulkar pushing on for a 150 would have secured a draw, but now we are left fighting a losing battle to avoid a whitewash. These guys simply don't have it anymore - I haven't watched too much of the current series live, but I did watch the England series since I was in India. I was ashamed to see Tendulkar just not knowing where the crap his off stump is - now we have Dravid not knowing where any of his stumps are, or Laxman not even knowing where the frack the damn ball is. There might be the proverbial 19/20 ka farq left in them, but they are all done - throw them out and build on new batsmen and hope for the best. Personally, I don't have any hopes and even the newer batsmen with the exception of Kohli and Pujara will be found wanting, but at least there is a chance that some Rohit Sharma might learn the disciplines of batting in a test match.

The recent successes got fans, cricket team, selectors delusional. I had put forth a scorecard from 20 years ago. This Indian team was "supposed" to be the best team to visit Down Under, and the current Aussie team would perhaps be worse than the one that they fielded 20 years ago. And yet we got our behinds handed over to us. The budhaos are done. Finished. Actually they were done a while back, in my opinion 3-4 years ago but we kept letting them go. Ab jhelo. 2 back to back series filled with beizzati. Those of us who have been watching cricket for a while would agree this is the worst humiliation ever. And that this has come against teams which are hardly Lloyd's West Indies, or Waugh's Aussies makes it even worse. Clarke marauding us 4-0? Got to be effing kidding me. xxx

one thing... positiveness. Every time clarke came to the crease, he treated our bowlers like gully bowlers. No respect whatsoever.

What change in Australia was the brutal, honest review they had about Australian cricket and they implemented those changes and are going to be back to number 1. We on the other hand have had no success overseas, but we always seem to think we are great because we win a few games at home and might get lucky and sneak a win here or there overseas. It's our fault (the fans) we love to love mediocrity, we like to live on past glories and we only look at the short term. Indian cricket needs a brutal, honest look at itself, but as long as the BCCI is in control that will never happen.

He wasn't dropped, he couldn't make the team because he was injured. Worked like a charm that, for them. Now I don't think he'll get his place back ever.

Most notable improvement is their bowling. Siddle, Hilfy etc could barely take wicket against England last year on similar pitches..now Siddle looks like bowler who will take wicket any time such is his consistency. their batting is still really weak, if 3 exp guys fail.
