King Tendulkar
My OP is to show how stupid it is when people say Sachin is a choker and never delivers when it matters blah blah blah. If you guys are consistent then KP is a massive choker as well.:whatchutalkingabout Link to comment
Donny
Donny' date=' Ranj has one of the best sense of humor I have seen on fora. That was the intent of his post if I am not mistaken.[/quote'] Mine too. Link to comment
Gambit
TEN-DUL-KAR. Donny, from what I've noticed, you don't really rate most of the Pommie cricketers. What do you think of this Saffie? Link to comment
Donny
Astute and correct observation mate. However, KP is one 'Pom' who could play for Oz. I think he's great for the game. Link to comment
Gambit
Agreed. What about Thorpe(my favourite English bat of all time)? I think he could have played in the pre-1999 Australian side. Link to comment
Donny
I appreciated Thorpey's fighting ability more than admired his skills but he, like Dravid, would've been better off with strokeplayers around him. I think a Test team certainly needs one of these types and probably two in their top 7. He compares quite favourably with Steve Waugh, actually. Link to comment
talksport
And Steve Waugh extended his career by scoring two back to back centuries against Bangladesh...... Those centuries/wickets against minnows doesnt belittle Great Men...It shows their hunger for runs/wickets and love for the game.... Link to comment
Bumper
Qn: Didnt England have room for both Thorpe & KP ? Why either...or? I thought both were good enuff to walk into this English team. Link to comment
talksport
No, it was like Thorpe or KP .... The team was like this Tresco, Strauss, Vaughan , Bell ( after having a great series with Bangles), Flintoff, G.Jones , S Jones, Harmison, A Giles and Hoggard.... All 10 locked Thorpe was not fit for first test and in comes KP, and scores two half centuries.....Rest is History. England didnt want to drop Bell ...( cinting the yound blood and compact Test player ) and dropped ageing Thorpe for KP Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Choked again today when his team needed a big knock from him. Link to comment
talksport
Time for a bump.... Perfect pitch....Vaughan and Strauss just had a great partnership...and KP crumbled under pressure Link to comment
Gaurav
Well KP got out twice in the second innings. He has no rear guard technique! Link to comment

Guest dada_rocks
Just criticism. After all, what good is 3 100s & a mother of all English 100s (158) that won back the ASHES in a debut series vs Australia, helping England create history. Add to it another lame 4th innings 100, that wasnt good enuff to win a test. Is that almost 5 100s out of 9, that altered the course of the game, amounting to 50% roughly ? Geez, serious lame a$$ loser. Pietersen will remain a useless home track bully until he shows some spine, against the mighty Bangladesh. Hammering a ton a test against mighty Bangles is the ticket to greatness after all. And that would still not be enuff. He better get his highest ever score against them, then we'll see. u should do this kind of satire more often Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
Btw I don't know about chokign but the kind of shot he played on very first ball of sachin only a knucklehead will do.. Link to comment
Donny
He obviously didn't do his homework. If he had, he would've known Sach bowls much better legspin than Anil. Link to comment
