Crookbond Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I am all for us having a centrally contracted pool of promising bowlers and batsmen but knowing BCCI and their penchant for being penny wise pound foolish' date=' I doubt anything will happen as I've pointed out in my previous post above.[/quote'] Sometimes I doubt if bowling is even seriously considered in our country.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 Sometimes I doubt if bowling is even seriously considered in our country. Nope it's not. That's why we have lost most of our bowling talent. We managed to unearth likes of Irfan, Balaji, RP, Sreeanth, Munaf, Ishant etc. to name just a few and most of them are no longer around as options for us. Zak somehow managed to do well inspite of the system by playing county cricket for a year. My question to BCCI is what's the point of NCA and MRF pace academy if they can't even handle the talent we have, forget about unearthing more talent. Why did Zak have to go to county cricket to turn his fortunes around? If that's the case why even boter with the academies at home and let's send our youngsters to Eng or Aus.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 If there is dew in Bang (likely), then we're going to get ****ed. Good batting pitch + dew + our bowlng = RAPE Our useless bowling attack won't be able to defend even 400. No dew either. Hard to find too many worse bowling performances. Zim in 1999 WC with about 50 extras comes close.
