ViruRulez Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I do not understand why and how this illegal mining goondagardi seems to be spreading all throughout India. Karnataka, Goa, Andhra Pradesh etc. are already in the news for the same and now even Madhya Pradesh is in the limelight for the same. Who are these and how are these illegal mining going on. How come the govt. is not doing anything to take control of all such illegal mining locations.
DomainK Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Mining mafia is very dangerous. Far more dangerous than people realize. Normally everyone makes big money from it - politicians, bureaucrats, police officers and even journalists. And they maintain a very low profile. Unlike other mafia like drugs, the damage the mining mafia does to the society goes unnoticed as they don't make a direct difference to anyone's life.

kabira Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I watched the movie Paan Singh Tomar and I think he was from Morena as well. Illegal mining happens in most of the states. In Gujarat its happening in Porbandar region, and I think few RIT activists have been actively involved, but one of them was killed as well. It can only continue because everyone is involved, else no way illegal mining can continue without support of burecrats, local politicians etc..
asterix Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 RIP young officer. UP elections finished. Jobless Dogvijaya Singh needed something to bark about. More incidents will suddenly start happening in MP now.
Stuge Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday ordered a judicial probe into the murder of IPS officer Narendra Kumar Singh, who was crushed to death allegedly by a member of the mining mafia in Morena district. "We salute the young IPS officer for his daredevilry in checking illegal mining. We have ordered a judicial probe into the incident," Chouhan told reporters after reviewing the matter with chief secretary Avni Vaish and DGP Nandan Dubey at the Secretariat. He said the government was dealing with illegal mining in the state in a tough manner and added that the young officer was also doing the same as part of the government stand. "We stand by his family in this hour of grief and whatever help is needed would be given to them," he said. The judicial probe will reveal all the facts behind the incident, he added. Chouhan further said that the opposition Congress should refrain from politicising the issue. By talking about illegal mining at this juncture, the Congress is giving a bad name to the state, he added. Singh was crushed to death under the wheels of a tractor-trolley on Thursday, allegedly by a member of the mining mafia, when he tried to stop the vehicle which was carrying stones at Banmore in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh http://www.hindustantimes.com/India-news/Bhopal/Chouhan-orders-judicial-probe-into-murder-of-IPS-officer/Article1-822866.aspx

Raghav_12 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 RIP young officer. UP elections finished. Jobless Dogvijaya Singh needed something to bark about. More incidents will suddenly start happening in MP now. What Digvijay Singh has got to do with this? You may beat any seasoned politician of country in blame game. Very unfortunate incident though. Sad end to an young officer.
