He writes well. However, he seems to be stating that both were unlucky to BE lbw. I think SRT may well have been unlucky to be LBW, but Dravid was not LBW

Actually he's been writing regularly for cricinfo, really refreshing stuff. I found this one very interesting since he added some batting insight as to why both of them played the shot they did. Also the part about, when the batsman tries to move his pad out of line after being struck it gives us the impression that he is not attempting a shot. Never looked at it that way!!!

gem of an article..:giggle: What an isight and what a crisp seamless expression without the baggage of flowery talk. Real cricketer if could express thesmelves this well invariably make great columnist. OTOH those career columnist who never played any cricket worth any salt keep droning obvious with floral langauge.

Good writeup with nice details from a pro's perspective on how pad is used, but he is dead wrong in saying that Sachin's dismissal is the more contentious than Dravid's.
