so if a player averages 90 but for a few months averges 85' date=' that means he is decline? You are nuts![/quote'] No, but Dravid is not averaging 85 or 90. A 57 average dropping to below 50 for an 'alltime great' batsman for an extended period definitely qualifies for a 'decline'. He is no longer batting like an alltime great- instead just a good batsman. That is decline in my books.

He has been avaeraging 49. Thats superb' date=' keep it going skip![/quote'] No, thats not superb in a day and age where 10-15 batsmen are averaging 50+ over the last 2-3 years. That is 'decent' going. Superb is a superlative that can only be attached to the best of the best- Dravid clearly is no longer in that group.

Dhondy, If you remember, all those scores were erected on pitches as flat as a pancake and bowling attack not being that great. When did our batsmen score big on a lively track? 2002, Headingley comes the closest imo. Why just our batsmen, name any batsman who kept on erecting such high scores on lively tracks?
Dont u think BCCI has something to do with this ?:D
