J P K Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Ray Jennings has said that the team missed fast bowler Vinay Kumar last year and added he was happy to welcome back the speedster into the RCB squad for the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Vinay, who played for RCB for the first three years of IPL, was bought by Kochi Tuskers Kerala last year. However, the team is defunct now and Vinay was bought back by the Vijay Mallya-owned team during the February auction here in Bangalore. The 28-year-old was paid $1 million by RCB in the auction. He said he was happy to be back to his home ground. RCB kicked off their preparations for IPL 5 on Tuesday evening at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, Vinay was missing from the camp as he left for South Africa with the Indian to play a Twenty20 International on Friday. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday evening, Jennnings said: Vinay is a fantastic human being and I was really sad that we missed him last year." He continued: "He is one of my favourite guys. He was initially quiet and now he is slowly opening up. He is coming out of his shell. During my first talk with him, I told him that you will play for India. I think Vijay (Mallya) made the right call at the auction and Vinay has done well for India and he is probably one of the bowlers, who has grown for the Indian side. And he is a good fielder, a good human being and he can bat. I am happy. http://www.thatscricket.com/news/2012/03/28/ipl-5-jennings-happy-to-have-vinay-back-in-rcb.html like i said vinay can become india` greatest all rounder :two_thumbs_up: kapil dev might be already facing the heat
India-KXIP fan Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Great respect for Davangere Express but he should think of transitions and helping the future generations settle. Hes been around a while now. After his retirement we may have instant shortage of quality seamers
The Dark Horse Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Anyone would want to have class in their team:two_thumbs_up:
