bengali and hindi are very similar language. both coming from sangskrit. thats why we easily understand hindi. if u see bengali dramas regularly u will start to understand it. and arent u half bengali?

Bengali comes from Magadhi Prakrit. Not Sanskrit. That's why Bengali has no genderization like Hindi or Sanskrit. That's why the Bengali alphabet is different as well. After the UPite Brahmins came to Bengal, a lot of Sanskritization happened to the language because of which Hindi and Bengali shares many Sanskrit words.

hmm but i dont bliv wiki so i will look into this matter. its serious u knw. we shud knw the history of the language we speak in
