Ultimate_Game Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 CG & Utalk , it has nothing to with Islam , but its a fact that MoYo comes across as a very sly person & his greed for money is way too obvious . Very smart though , cos one which wold help him climb the popularity charts in Pakistan he did exactly that . I agree 100% and that's what I am saying. Yusuf converted to attain his personal goals and has done whatever in his powers to go places.
Utalk Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Again you are not grasping some obvious facts. In that post 2000 team we had Akhtar who was not a Mullah. YK was not even part of Inzi group(Yousaf,Razzaq,Afridi,Malik) and was his deputy. Yousaf was a permanent member of national team before conversion along Kaneria(a hindu) who was backed and played every game by Inzi despite not performing. I don't like moyo because of his antics(use to love watching him bat though) but linking his conversion to his desire to become captain is ludicrous. Yousaf converted in 2005 and was made captain in 2010 because there was no other option. YK was Inzi's deputy for three years and it was common knowledge that he would take over from Inzi. It's only when YK declined the captaincy they made Malik the captain.

Wasn't he made captain during the CT 2006 after Younis Khan stepped down? http://www.espncricinfo.com/iccct2006/content/story/261385.html
Cricket_Guru Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 ^nope, khan was the captain throughout the tourny. http://www.espncricinfo.com/iccct2006/engine/match/249747.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/iccct2006/engine/match/249752.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/iccct2006/engine/match/249754.html
