BCCI should build roof at few stadium' date=' that way they can start season in June itself instead of August[/quote'] Would be a spectacular engineering feat of they could. As of now apparently they is only one indoor cricket stadium. Well it's not a cric stadium but a multipurpose one, where cricket matches have been staged. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Docklands_Stadium BCCI should work on sometin like this. It's about bloody time and they have the bloody money to do so too

Do you really trust our contractors to build a safe indoor stadium? Last thing you want to see is the roof collapsing on the players and 100000 fans.

Gosh ur so correct dude. But I still think cricket deserves a revolutionary 21st century stadium. Even a sport with far less following like aquatics, has state-of-the art venues. I just wish India comes up with sometin revolutionary first, before some other country does so.

^^BTW, when I visited India last December, I was quite impressed with all the new construction, at least the commercial ones. They did look world class, although not sure how sound they are structurally. I am talking hospitals, malls and office buildings.

^some of the new companies do build structurally sound buildings but a very large number still use shoddy materiel especially in Govt projects. In cricket I'd say a large number of the new stadiums in India are quite good because there is lots of money and in many cases the heads of the various cricket associations have their own reputations on the line (like Anurag Thakur in Himanchal Pradesh or Jyotiraditya Scindhia in Madhya Pradesh or Arun Jaitley in Delhi) because they are so closely associated with the entire project.

Hire an overseas company with experience. It's not like the BCCI can't afford it.
