audioman
^Watch the show. Not only does he mention' date=' he interviews a key person from the NGO and in the end let's people donate money to the NGO as well.[/quote'] Oh yeah? That is good indeed. But personally, I was so put off by the fakeness of the first episode, it will take a lot of money to make me watch another one. Hehe.

Crookbond
Silence Eva Jayate http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?281646 How did Kaushal Panwar do her BA, MA and PhD and land a job with Delhi University? What is it that facilitates access to hitherto-excluded spaces for dalits? What is the one policy that enables dalits to stop cleaning **** and reclaim their humanity? The one weapon that helps them get an education? Get a job? Reservation. And who made this policy possible? Ambedkar. But Aamir Khan wouldn’t mention the R and A words even once for fear of alienating his middle class audience, which as a friend perceptively said, is fed “bourgeois moralism of the most pathological sort,” on a programme where “the only solution turns out to be nothing more than emotional catharsis”. CSK Fan
Anyone catching today's episode of Styamev Jayete? It answers a lot of questions about what the actual results of the show was. From making state goverment change laws on exploitation, to women openly refusing to kill girls, to abused kids coming out after the show and talking to their parents, to 1000s of women refusing to marry with dowry, to many schools accepting handicapped children, to physically abused women finding the courage to seperate from their husband, to alchohol addicts staying away from alcohol, the shows impact has been unimaginable. Not to mention the crores and crores of ruppes donated by Indians to the NGOs mentioned in the show with Reliance contributing an equal amount. And looks like Amir has been following up personally in each of these things

CSK Fan
Now dealing with the complex medical procedures involved in examination of rape victims. Doctors are mostly insensitive and discourage examination. Often for small children, doctors tie their hand and legs and gag them while examining them. The two-finger test, though banned by supreme court is still used in most hospitals. Victims are humiliated and discouraged. Doctors often ignore important details seen in examining the victim which allows rapists to go free

CSK Fan
One of the challenges being discussed is that the same government prosecutor takes care of the rape victim's case. And the victim does not get to see any evidence or even her statement. So if the statement get written wrong and the victim contradicts in the court, the government prosecutor himself declares her hostile Courts give adjournment for reasons like Pooja at lawyer's house, kids not being well, etc. Case drags on for years as a result

And because these victims were aged between 3 and 5 years Age of the rape victims she knows have been between 6 months to 83 years She says rape is not about lust or sexual drive but power
