Have we ever played FC matches vs Aus A, SA A or Eng Lions in Aus/SA/Eng?

From recent memory, I can't quite recollect BCCI organising an A tour of Aus/Eng/SA scheduling first class fixtures vs the respective A sides. Yes, there is the Emerging Players Tournament in Australia every year, but Aus and SA do not have their A teams there. We did go to England in 2010 after ages, but did not play the Eng Lions in a single FC match. Our A side has never ever toured SA for any competition. OTOH, A sides from Eng, Aus and SA have all had played a series or two in India in recent times, but there have been no return tours. Even our u-19 sides have not been playing any FC games on away tours With the WI A tour coming up post IPL, I am hoping at least we get to see some FC matches and not just 50-over and t20 games. The tour is only 3 weeks long but I do hope we play at least 2 4-day matches, otherwise such tours serve no purpose at all.

Yeah. England Lions is probably the single biggest factor in their rise to No 1. Very structured schedule. The amount of cricket they play overseas- last year (or maybe year before) they took part in the WI domestic tourno for instance... must do wonders for development of younger players. Unlike ours who do not see much overseas cricket.

And now Australia A will be touring England in July, the same time when India A had toured in 2010 but England Lions had no time to play a single FC match with our team., nor did our team play the matches on any main venue. Let us wait and see how they treat Aussies. Then we'll know if BCCI was made a fool of in that series or that is a norm.

Aus A will play 4 matches on the tour, 2 3-day matches vs Derbyshire and Durham and then 2 unofficial tests vs England Lions.

And now the lower division counties are ready to test themselves against an Australian A side.

England lions play regulerly..they just finsihed tour of Bangla and Sl just before englands series of Pak in UAE i also remember they played in duleep trophy some time back... its BCCi fault if they dont send A teams to outside..may be no one interested any longer with all the cricket in India (Ranji,T20,ODi and then IPL)
