feverpitch Posted August 11, 2007 Share Posted August 11, 2007 Kumble are you sure about these numbers? i think 200-250 Asiatic Lions in Gir alone is quite a liberal estimate (besides did they not move more than a hand ful to a new sanctuary near Secundrabad?). the tiger estimate has been conclusively proven by several agencies and accepted by govt as a major overestimate... they used wrong methodology in determining difference in pugmarks...
