The BCCI has said it will recommend to the tournament's governing council that it had no objection to a team from Pakistan participating. Board of Control for Cricket in India's chief N Srinivasan confirmed that a team from Pakistan will play in this year's edition of the tournament, to be held in India in September. The decision is believed to have come after talks between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari during the latter's visit to New Delhi. The winner of Pakistan's version of the Indian Premier League will play in the Champions League - an international tournament with teams from India, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, West Indies, South Africa and New Zealand. (Other developments: Sri Lanka refuses to host Pakistan- Australia series) While it had been suggested in the past that Pakistan was being snubbed out, the Pakistan Cricket Board had maintained that it remains confident of getting an entry in a tournament that has representations from every major Test playing nation. The inaugural edition of the event, a year earlier, had to be called off due to the Mumbai terror attacks. Its not about money. Its about those terrorists that roam free in the streets of pakistan. We know our govt is useless. Atleast BCCI had the clout and sense to not to collaborate with PCB, which would always help pakistan more than us.
